Money and Mindfulness first came about on a community level as a thought leadership program offering the community and business members a platform to engage in high-level conversations related to personal growth, community development, and life purpose. The hope behind these conversations was to evoke thoughtful and intentional dialogue around these topics and in turn inspire individuals, leaders, and professionals to be the best that they can be for themselves, their families, their employees and employers, their coworkers and their communities.

After hosting several of monthly roundtable discussion on the 12 core pillars and 6 cultural values of Money and Mindfulness it became clear that there was a strong need within corporations for a larger scale of the program, from here grew the Money & Mindfulness Corporate Program.

The Corporate Money & Mindfulness Program is built on three main components:

  • Monthly Money & Mindfulness educational seminars

  • Executive Financial Planning

  • 401K Analysis, Management & Employee Education

The purpose behind the Money & Mindfulness corporate program is to:

  • Build, drive and strengthen company culture

  • Increase employee retention, engagement & fulfillment

  • Provide empowering financial education

Executive Financial Planning
Ideally, your executive team has a clear understanding of their financial lives – where they are going and how they will get there. For those who don’t or would like a second opinion, a comprehensive Financial Plan can provide this value and peace of mind.

401k Analysis, Education & Management
The proper 401k platform along with an impactful educational component can be a true investment into your company and your employees. UBS can be as cost effective as any other provider out there from a 401k platform and administrative standpoint. We have the ability to use just about any provider out there including Vanguard, Fidelity, and American Funds.

Why should you be offering your employees Financial Planning Services and Education? Money is the second-most cited cause of stress according to a Stress in America™ survey, with 62% of respondents reporting feeling stressed about money. For 25%, the ability to pay for life’s essentials proves stressful.  43% of employees say they don’t live within their means. 77% say they aren’t in good shape to meet their goals.

A workforce that is financially unfit exacts a toll in tangible and intangible ways such as workplace distractions, employee dissatisfaction and weakened job performance.  A study by the Defined Contribution Institutional Investment Association (DCIIA) declares this a “disengagement crisis” that is costing employers $300 billion annually in lost productivity. These financially stressed workers are taking higher numbers of sick days, incurring higher healthcare costs and are missing work proportionately more than their peers.

Why happiness matters
A few years ago, a team from Warwick University researched  the impact employee happiness had on an employer's bottom line. They found that this was indeed the case, with higher employee happiness levels associated with a 12% rise in productivity. A second study, led by the University of Tennessee, aimed to put things to the test in real-world environments. What did they find that the best companies to work for had in common? 74% of companies had some kind of diversity program, with 62% providing training for employees.

Overall, the message seems clear, that if you treat employees well, this then creates a social contract whereby those employees work harder, tend to be more efficient, and generally strive to do more for the company that’s treating them so well. This is where Money & Mindfulness comes in. We help you in be the employer that supports their employees beyond their paycheck.

Our Money & Mindfulness Seminars are focused on looking at the whole picture of your teams and your employees to better understand what they are lacking and need more of in order to improve their fulfillment, happiness and performance.
